Full Tilt Poker Review from Lou
This is one of the biggest online poker sites and it's one of my favorites. I ahve played here since early 2003, just a few months after this poker room opened. Since then they have brought their poker software to a level far above anyone else; even Pokerstars.
Full Tilt Poker Game Types
There are always new poker game types being invented at Full Tilt. Many of these ideas come straight from their forums where players can discuss new ideas for poker tournaments. One of the latest ideas that this poker site has unveiled is called Rush Poker. You can find some details below about the game and how to beat Rush Poker.
Tips for Playing Rush Poker at Full Tilt
If you love fast Poker and have yet to play Full Tilt’s new and innovative Rush Poker, you don’t know what you are missing out on. Rush Poker is like a mix between T-up (that fast bingo game the old ladies play) and a regular Texas Holdem real money ring game. You will sit down at the table and the game will be played just like any other real money Texas Holdem ring games at Full Tilt. The difference is, you are not only playing against 8 or less players, but instead you will be switching tables frequently, ultimately playing hundreds of other online Poker players. Below are some tips to keep in mind when playing Rush Poker.
1. Know the Game
Since the only game that is played in Rush Poker is Texas Holdem, that is the only game you need to know to be able to play. All of the rules for Rush Poker Texas Holdem are the same as for any other kind of Texas Holdem, the game is just played quicker.
2. Be Quick
If you are one of those irritating players that can’t ever make up their mind in less than a minute and makes all of the other players wait to go, this is not the game for you. Rather, if you are a player that hates playing with the above mentioned kind of players, you will fall in love with Rush Poker. Rush Poker is like turbo Poker sped up if you can believe that, the time limits are shorter. Plus, as soon as you click the quick fold button, you will be quickly moved to a new table with a brand new Poker hand.
3. Only Play Top Hands
Too often at online Poker tables you hear players apologizing for playing crap hands saying ‘they were tired of waiting for a good hand’, well that excuse sure won’t work at Rush Poker. If you don’t like your hand, fold it and you will get a new one, easy as that. There is no excuse to play bad Poker hands when playing Rush Poker other than being a bad Poker player. With more than 300 hands being dealt per hour, a good percent of those are going to be playable hands.
4. Don't Try to Read Other Players
Now I know this might seem like the worst Poker tip you have ever heard, but the truth of the matter is, you are playing Poker online. Sure, you can try to judge the type of player someone is by how they bet and the hands they win with, but with playing online Poker, you can’t actually see the other player, so you don’t know if they were sweatin’ bullets or cheesin’ the whole time. Worry about your game and your Poker strategy and you will come out ahead a lot quicker than if you were to try to base it on reading other players. Another reason that reading other players you are playing with doesn’t work with Rush Poker is because the players at your table are changing just about every single hand. There are hundreds of different players at each Rush Poker table, so there is no way to remember and judge them all.
