PokerStars Sit and Go Tournaments

A sit and go tournament at PokerStars is just like a sit and go tournament at any other Poker room, except the fact that PokerStars gives their players a lot more options to choose from. At PokerStars, there is a whole section of different sit and go Poker tournaments for you to browse through and pick. A sit and go tournament is very similar to a regular Poker tournament, except that a regular tournament has a certain time that the tournament will start, regardless of how many players are registered. In a sit and go tournament, there is a specified amount of players and the sit and go tournament will start 1 minute after all seats are filled. You can find sit and go tournaments registering at PokerStars all the time, with buy ins as little as a penny.

Now that you know what a sit and go Poker tournament is, we will tell you about all the different kinds of sit and go tournaments that are available at the largest and most popular and well loved online Poker room, PokerStars, where all the Poker stars play Poker.

6 Player Table Sit and Go - This is just like it sounds, a sit and go tournament where there is a max of 6 players per table.

9 Player Table Sit and Go - This is just like a 6 player table sit and go, only there are 3 extra players at the table.

Heads Up Sit and Go Tournament - This is where there are only two players, you and your opponent playing against each other for victory.

Single Table Sit and Go Tournament - This is a sit and go that only has 1 table. It can be a heads up table, a 6 player table, or a 9 player table, but there is only 1 table.

Multi Table Sit and Go Tournament - This is a sit and go where there are multiple tables of players all fighting for the same prize. There are some 2, 3, 4, 10 and 110 table sit and go tournaments available at PokerStars.

Satellite Sit and Go Tournament - A satellite sit and go tournament is just like a regular satellite tournament. You will not be playing for a cash prize, although the buy in is cash, instead, you will be playing for the entry in a bigger tournament or event. (A PokerStars satellite tournament is how Chris Moneymaker bought in for less than $40 and ended up winning his way all the way to first place in the 2003, WSOP main event, winning 2.5 million dollars.)

FPP Sit and Go Tournament - An FPP is a frequent player point and is something that is earned at PokerStars by playing Poker for real cash. An FPP sit and go tournament means that you use your FPp's for your buy in and the prize pool is also usually FPPs although, you will sometimes find cash paying or satellite FPP sit and go tournaments at PokerStars.
